Organisation: Children of Chernobyl – for Survival

On April 26, 1986 one of the most nuclear catastrophes befell in the humankind history – the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident. On December 15, 2000 this nuclear monster was, at last, shut. Meanwhile, the harm it brought remains. And the most suffering from it are the children. To help them is our common point of honour. So, let’s offer them a hand of hope and good.

In February 1992 the initiative group of Ukrainian women who have been evacuated, along with families from the Chernobyl zone, created the Foundation «Children of Chernobyl – for survival». The new organisation set a goal:

* to financially support families with seriously ill children; restore the health of children evacuated from Chernobyl zone in ecologically clean regions.

Today, the International Charitable Fund “Children of Chernobyl – for Survival” brings together over 15 thousand children. The Foundation has branches in 14 regions of Ukraine. Spanish and Italian rehabilitation and psychological care centers for children of Chernobyl have been created in Kiev.
