Organisation: Soyuz-Chernobyl

After Chernobyl a lot of non-governmental and governmental organizations were founded. The main theme of their activity was connected with Chernobyl and nuclear energy in general.

One of them is non-governmental organization “Soyuz-Chernobyl” (Union Chernobyl). “Soyuz-Chernobyl” of Russia was founded on 10th of December 1990, as the all-Russian non-governmental organization.

In 1998 it was re-registered as the All-Russian non-governmental organization of invalids Soyuz-Chernobyl of Russia. Since 2005 on the present is the All-Russian conjunction of non-governmental associations «Soyuz-Chernobyl of Russia». Now the director of the main office of Soyuz-Chernobyl is Grischin Vjacheslav.

Among of the main objectives and problems this organization are the protection of the
rights and legal interests of a lot of categories of Russian citizen, for example,

* the citizens who received or have transferred radiation sickness and other diseases, connected with radiating influence owing to accident on the Chernobyl NPP, other radiating failures and accidents or with works on liquidation of consequences of such failures and accidents;
* invalids owing to accident on the Chernobyl NPP, other radiating failures and accidents;
* participants of liquidation of consequences of accident on the Chernobyl NPP, failure in 1957 at production association „Majak“ and dumps of a radioactive waste in the river Techa;
* participants of tests of the nuclear and thermonuclear weapon, liquidation of failures of nuclear installations on means of arms and military facilities;
* the citizens evacuated, moved or left the zones of radioactive pollution constantly living
(living) or working (working) on territory of zones of radioactive pollution;
* children of the first and the subsequent generations which were born after a radioactive
irradiation of one of parents from among citizens, was exposed to influence of radiation owing to accident on the Chernobyl NPP, other radiating failures and accidents;
* members of families of the died or lost citizens, was exposed to influence of radiation owing to accident on the Chernobyl NPP, other radiating failures and accidents;
